Overview

The Associate Account Manager, China is responsible for supporting sales operations and maintaining client relationships within the Chinese market. This role serves as a key liaison between Silverchair and its APAC clients, providing sales support, customer communication, and market analysis to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction in the APAC region. The Associate Account Manager works closely with the APAC Senior Account Manager to develop client-specific strategies while ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external customers.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the sales team to hit the revenue target by handling daily sales affairs, including but not limited to sorting out customer information, statistical analysis of sales data, and preliminary review of sales contracts, generating renewal notification.
  • Be responsible for maintaining daily communication with customers, promptly responding to their inquiries and needs, keeping good communication records, and feeding back important information to relevant people in charge.
  • Demonstrates exceptional self-discipline and a proactive work attitude, with the drive to achieve goals independently.
  • Assist the APAC Manager in carrying out work and jointly formulate specific cooperation plans for specific customers based on the collected and analyzed past contracts and communication information.
  • Take the initiative to lead and coordinate communication with internal product teams and support teams to ensure that customer problems are solved in a timely and effective manner and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Participate in sales meetings, sort out meeting minutes, follow up on the implementation of meeting resolutions, and provide necessary support for the sales team.
  • Be responsible for the writing, sorting and filing of sales-related documents to ensure the integrity and standardization of sales materials.
  • Provide support for offline and online marketing activities, including online lectures, offline meetings of various scales, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools and technologies to enhance workflow efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and/or derive actionable insights.

Required Skills:

Qualified candidates will:

  • Be proficient in operating various office software (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and sales management systems to improve work efficiency.
  • Have the ability to independently collect and analyze past contracts and communication information and be able to collaborate with the supervisor in the Asia-Pacific region to provide specific cooperation plans for individual client visits.
  • Possess good communication and coordination skills, be able to take the initiative to communicate with various domestic and overseas teams, effectively solve customer problems, and maintain stable customer relationships.
  • Have a basic understanding of the operation of academic journals and the academic publishing industry to facilitate quick integration into work.
  • Have good learning ability and adaptability, and be able to quickly master industry knowledge, company products and business processes.
  • Interpret regional economic and market trends as they emerge and work with the APAC manager to develop plans, programs, and sales initiatives that meet these changing market needs.
  • Be a role model for professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and upholding the company’s values and objectives.

Desired Experience:

  • Be proficient in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, and be able to communicate fluently in English for business purposes.
  • Work experience in the academic publishing industry, sales or sales support, or work experience in universities and research institutes is preferred.
  • Experience in publishing English academic papers are preferred.
  • Relevant experience in peer review system technologies or products preferred.
  • Ability of Asian-Pacific languages such as Japanese, Korean, and Malay is preferred.
  • Preference for candidates located in Beijing, China.

Salary: $30,000 to $40,000 USD per year
