Overview

We are looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our global team. This role provides a challenging and interesting opportunity to work on innovative products, that serve both external and internal customers. We would love to speak with you if you have experience in and would love to work with tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker, and Datadog.

Essential Functions

  • Drive integration and delivery of technical solutions aligned with product roadmaps, customer needs, and strategic priorities.
  • Design, develop and implement the product infrastructure architecture, including microservices leveraging Terraform automated scripts for build/deploy of Infrastructure-as-code.
  • Drive the implementation of service improvements, automation, monitoring, and DevOps best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support on rotational basis for all assigned products.
  • Own the performance, availability, reliability, security, and scalability of the product(s) running across cloud, global multi-region, infrastructure.

Required Skills

  • At least 3 years as DevOps Engineer or similar skillsets with experience on various CI/CD and configuration management tools e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Maven, Gradle, AzureDevOps, Gitlab, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform, or similar CI/CD orchestrator tool(s)
  • At least 3 years of AWS experience managing resources in some of the AWS services including but not limited to: EC2, IAM, S3, Route 53, RDS, VPC, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
  • Minimum 3 years of experience scripting with at least one programming language and developing automation solutions using Bash Shell and Python (preferred)
  • At least 2 years in operating system administration, programming languages, cloud platform deployment, and networking protocols
  • At least 2 years of supporting customer-facing applications using full-stack monitoring, security testing, detection and compliance tools
  • Bachelors degree or relevant years of experience

Desired Experience

  • AWS Certification at the Associate level (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
  • Experience developing Pipelines on a CI or CD server (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker in an AWS environment like ECS or EKS
  • Experience with writing complex scripts/services that pull and manipulate data from heterogeneous data sources, REST APIs, databases, flat files, etc.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
  • Cognos Analytics experience

About the Team

We are a global team of 5 members across the US and India supporting customer-facing applications in a production environment. We handle the automation, delivery and facilitation of getting code into the production environment and responding to alerts when something goes wrong. We are 100% in the cloud using AWS tools and technologies.

Hours of Work

  • 3:30pm - 11:30pm IST, Monday through Friday
  • 12-hour daily on-call shift every other week
